Everton vs Crystal Palace

While we are fast approaching the break, there are some exciting premier league actions taking place this weekend. Coming up this Saturday is the Everton vs Crystal Palace which will be taking place at the Goodison Park.

Everton are slowly turning their season around ever since they went for the big fish in the industry and hired Ancelotti as the new manager of the club. It was a lot worse for them months ago, but now, they are a bit more stable now and are sitting just above half of the premier league table. To show how much they’ve improved and gained since Ancelotti took charge as the manager of the club, they are just 3 points adrift of 6 and the good news for them is that, there is still a long way to go and if they keep improving and gaining valuable points, they are more than capable of competing for a spot in the Europa League. They will be going up against Crystal Palace this Saturday at home as they aim for back-to-back wins and most importantly, the crucial 3 points.

The Toffees are expected to set up in a 4-4-2 formation against Palace at Goodison Park this Saturday. Looking at the odds in this fixture, you can clearly see that Everton are clear favorites to get the job done at home, considering the fact that Palace are in a poor run of form at the moment. As we all know, Ancelotti likes his team to play football, so we will be expecting to see an Everton side that will be going into the game to dominate and most especially, to get the job done.

Crystal Palace are having a very difficult season and their form in their last 5 games have been disappointing. They’ve drawn 3 matches in a row and their last 2 matches ended in losses, which means that they’ve only managed 3 points out of the 15 points. However, there are still in a very good position regardless of the recent poor form. The good news for them is that they can still move above Everton on goal difference if they get all 3 points at Goodison Park this Saturday, which means that they will jump from 14th to 9th for the time being. So for them, it is a great opportunity that they will definitely be aiming for.

Crystal Palace will most likely set up in a 4-5-1 formation. Their gameplan will be to make it very difficult for Everton to take control of the game and then to utilize their qualities in counter-attack and certain areas of the pitch to cause Everton problems and most importantly to get the job done.

What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?
