Crystal Palace vs Liverpool

The euro qualifiers campaign has finally come to an expected end. The national teams that have qualified for the Euro 2020 tournament have been established. So far, it has been a great euro qualifiers campaign. The ever-exciting and much-awaited premier league actions return this weekend as lots of actions coming up. Liverpool is set to continue where they left off before the international break as they lock horns against Crystal Palace at the Selhurst Park this Saturday.

Crystal Palace aren’t having the worst season considering that they are just 2 points behind 5th position, even though they are currently sitting in 12th position. Their current form in the last 4 games have been pretty poor and they have only managed just 1 point in their last 4 games. They are on back-to-back losses in the league and will be looking to get back to winning ways if they are to compete for the top half of the table. They will be hosting Liverpool this Saturday, a game that promises to be a very difficult encounter for them. Even though all the odds are against Crystal Palace in this fixture, they still are capable of upsetting Liverpool at home like we saw them do against some of the top teams last season.

Expected formation and tactics, Crystal Palace will be expected to set up in a 4-5-1 formation. Even though they are playing at home and should come to attack, they know how dangerous and strong Liverpool are for them, it will a matter of staying very compact at the back and aiming for counter-attacking and set-piece opportunities to hurt Liverpool.

Liverpool are having a phenomenal season so far and are still the only premier league team that are yet a lose any single game and have already won 11 games out of the 12 played so far. Their most difficult game of the season came last 2 weeks against Man City at home, but they comfortably scaled through that hurdle. They will be facing a tricky test against Crystal Palace away this Saturday, a tricky match but at the same time a fixture that Liverpool are expected to come out with a comfortable win.

Expected formation and tactics, Liverpool will be expected to set up in their usual 4-3-3 formation. For them, nothing changes in terms of how they approach this game. Klopp will want his team to keep the same level of focus and determination that has seen them win 11 games out of 12 and for them to play their game, control the game and create enough chances to win the match which is their main aim.

What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?
