It is no longer news that Chelsea has acquired the services of Hakim Ziyech from Ajax, a player that is known as the wizard of Amsterdam. He doesn’t need no introduction as his works at Ajax speaks heavily for itself. When it comes to goals creation for Ajax for the past few seasons now, no one comes close to him as he has been the major creator for most of Ajax goals most especially this season where he was involved in a lot of Ajax goals both domestically and in the champions league.

Excitements have clouded the Chelsea fanbase as Ziyech is now a Chelsea player and fans can’t wait to see him in a Chelsea shirt next season. Even though most of the Chelsea fans know the quality Ziyech will bring to this Chelsea team, something that is currently missing in the team – a lot are still having doubts how the player will fit into this team and Lampard’s system… We all know the link between Ziyech and Promes at Ajax, as both players have combined to contribute a lot of Ajax goals. Ziyech putting in dangerous in-swinging crosses into the box with his wicked left foot for Promes to make late runs to tap home – This combination has worked wonders for Ajax this season, and Chelsea have had a taste of what that deadly combination feels like when both teams locked horn in the champions league group stage. Some Chelsea fans are dreaming to see that kind of combination at the Bridge, but at the same time, wondering which player can fit into the Promes mould if Lampard decides to utilize that same strategy.

For me, this is a tricky question as there isn’t any player that is purely a copy of Promes at Chelsea, but based on attributes and characteristics, the only player who I think can fill that role is Pulisic due to his awareness and ability to make late runs inside the box like we have seen him do this season. He is also a good goal scorer so the probability of him scoring from the chances created in high. Not only that, he is also one of Chelsea most creative players and someone who can create things out of nothing, so it will be a very good matchup for both players to be at the opposite flanks. If both players can perform at their best together, there is no doubt that they can take Chelsea to another level next season.

What do you think of the potential Ziyech and Pulisic combination?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
