A lot of talking points and reports have been flying around for the past few days after Chelsea clinched their second Europa League trophy against Arsenal in Baku. A comfortable victory for the Blues as they successfully achieved all their major targets for the season.

According to the reports, Juventus who just parted way with Allegri are seeking for his worthy replacement and possibly a new style of football. Sarri who joined Chelsea less than a year ago is the strong favorite that has been linked with a move back to his home country where he achieved tremendous recognition with his works as Napoli. From the reports, Sarri will most likely join the Old Ladies in few days’ time. Whether these reports are genuine and true, only time will tell.

Sarri joined the Blues as the right man to bring a new and fresh brand of football to the club, something everyone admired during his time at Napoli. His target after joining the club was to take Chelsea back to the champions league and possibly win the Europa League. Finishing in the top 4 and securing champions league football was the major target, but winning the Europa League as another avenue of securing champions league football was also an option if they failed to achieve top 4. Notwithstanding, he successfully led the team to a 3rd place finish and a Europa League trophy triumph. But however, it seems that Sarri’s job isn’t secured yet despite achieving all the targets of the club.

A few reasons have been coming up lately, as to why Sarri might be joining Juventus in a matter of days.

According to the reports, it is said that Chelsea are not going to hold a deal back if an offer comes in for Sarri and his buyout fees are met. Also From the reports on the Metro website, Chelsea has turned down Sarri’s request to remain at the club and have agreed to the fees met by Juventus… it is said that Sarri met with the Chelsea officials and discussed his future and was willing to remain at the club provided the club backed him and believed in his idea of football, but it looks like Chelsea has decided that it is best for both parties to part ways after barely a year of the contract. Also, it has been reported that Sarri has flew to Italy where he held talks about the deal and it is more likely expected to be completed in a matter of days.

For me, this is quite shocking considering that Sarri has barely reached a full season with the club and also he has achieved all the targets of the club, including winning the Europa league in style. However, whether he will finally go back to Italy were he achieved tremendous recognition due to his works at Napoli, is still a probability and we all have to wait and see what happens in the next few days.

And that is a wrap...
