Coming up later today is the continuation of the ongoing euro qualifiers games. Yesterday’s fixtures were packed with lots of goals and look forward to even more exciting fixtures. Romania is set to battle it out against Sweden as both aim for second position in Group F. Talking about yesterday’s games, let’s quickly run through the results of the games that kicked off yesterday…
England annihilated Montenegro 7-0 to remain top of Group A. Oxlade-Chamberlain, Harry Kane, Marcus Rashford, Tammy Abraham were all on the scoresheet for England. Portugal obliterated Lithuania as well with a thumping 6-0 victory. Goals by Cristiano Ronaldo, Pizzi, Paciencia and Benardo Silva were enough to get the job done for the Portuguese.
France got a narrow 2-1 victory against Moldova, all thanks to a late goal by Giroud to seal the victory for the French national team. Serbia also got the win against Luxembourg with a narrow 3-2 win. Czech Republic were on the winning side as well as they narrowly beat Kosovo 2-1. Albania vs Andorra ended their tie in a 2-2 draw, while Turkey vs Iceland were the only goalless result yesterday. Now that we have gotten that out of the way, let’s jump right into today’s fixture…
Romania haven’t done badly at all in their group which is a very difficult group. At the moment, they are just 1 point below Sweden who are currently occupying the second spot on the table. They face another difficult game later today a Sweden as they hope to secure second position on the table. This fixture is very crucial for them in particular as a loss could see them drop all the way down to 4th if Norway beat Faroe Island today by 4 goals and above without conceding.
Expected formation and tactics, Romania will be expected to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation. For them, this is a must-win game which means they will go all out to try to win this game. Their gameplan will be to stay very compact as possible but at the same time attack and try to capitalize on opportunities to hurt Sweden.
Sweden on the other hand, are in a very good position at the moment, 1 point above Romania and stand a big chance of going 4 points clear if they manage to get the job done today. Nevertheless, they don’t need to get a win to remain in second position as a draw will be enough for them to maintain their spot.
Expected formation and tactics, Sweden will be expected to set up in a 4-4-2 formation. They are a very good side when it comes to football and will be looking to show their qualities again against Romania. Their gameplan in this game will be to control the game and try to use their qualities in attack to hurt Romania.
What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?
