It has been a fun-filled weekend and a fantastic premier league matchday 26 week. As expected, Liverpool continue their superb form this season with a narrow 1 nil victory away at the Carrow Road yesterday. This win continues to draw Liverpool closer to their first premier league triumph in their history. Coming up later today is the Arsenal vs Newcastle fixture at the Emirates Stadium as the Gunners hope to end their 3 points drought.

Arsenal are going through difficult times this season and have really struggled since the start of the season. At the moment, they are finding it difficult to win games and their form in their last 4 games have been poor, gaining 4 points out of 12 points. They are hoping to get things right this time when they host Newcastle later today at home. They’ve already lost their 10th place to Burnley who got the job done against Southampton yesterday. This fixture against Newcastle is a must-win game for the Gunners if they don’t want to make things worse for themselves. Nevertheless, Arsenal are expected to get the job done at home in this fixture.

Arsenal are most likely going to set up in a 4-2-3-1 formation and as the home side as a team who likes to keep the ball, they are expected to have more of the ball at home and create more chances as well.

Newcastle are in the same boat as the Gunners, however, the difference between them and Arsenal is that, they are not expected to challenge for anything in the premier league but to secure their stay in the EPL. They are relishing the opportunity of finishing in the top half of the table as a win would see them compete with Burnley on level points. They face a difficult game at the Emirates later today against Arsenal but at the same time, they know that the Gunners are not in a good form currently and that if they put up a quality performance against the Gunners, they can get the job done at the Emirates Stadium.

Newcastle are expected to go into this game in their favorite 5-4-1 formation. They are known for being very defensive and very difficult to break down, so we are expecting to see them not only make life difficult for Arsenal, but also frustrate them, while also keeping their eyes on opportunities in the game to hurt Arsenal.

What do you think will be the outcome of this fixture?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
