So far so good, my ongoing series of what do you expect from the top teams is going pretty well and it keeps getting exciting as each post passes. As expected, it’s another exciting post and this time, our attention turns to the Dortmund, a team that is admired by many for their style of football. Like I’ve always done so far in this series, yesterday was all about Bayern Munich and what I am expecting from them next season… you can check the post out in my previous post if you haven’t seen it yet. With that out of the way, we can now proceed further…

Dortmund still remains one of my favorite teams when it comes to football. Their elegant style and the visual outlook of the team makes them one of the most admired clubs in Europe. It so sad that with all the talents that they possess in the team, they haven’t been able to do anything major in the Bundesliga and in Europe like they usually do during the time of Klopp. Notwithstanding, they are still a top side and are definitely aiming to do great things.

This season is going on pretty well for them in the Bundesliga as they are sitting just 4 points behind Bayern Munich who are in their usual position at this stage of the season. However, their champions league journey was cut short by PSG who proved too strong for Dortmund to handle in the second leg. This could be a good thing for them as it means that they will now have more time to focus on the league and try to get the better of Bayern Munich and to bring the Bundesliga title home. For the fans, it will be great to see how the season pans out for them.

Talking about how the season will pan out for Dortmund, a few talking points have been raised concerning them and what we should expect from them next season. For me, it is really difficult to expect anything major from any club in the Bundesliga aside from Bayern Munich as no one has been able to be a stumbling block for Bayern Munich in the Bundesliga for seasons in a row now. Nonetheless, football is full of surprises and next season could be the season when one of the remaining 19 teams could replace Bayern Munich at the top.

Looking at how Dortmund have performed so far and some the quality players they have, then I think they could do great things next season when they add in a few more quality players to the squad for next season. Like I just said, with a few more quality signings especially if they don’t let their best players leave, next season could be their season, maybe not in Europe but could push Bayern Munich all the way, and if possible, overtake them in the title race.

What do you think? - What are you expecting from Borussia Dortmund next season?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
