Juventus FC

As expected, still on the continuation of my “what should we expect from the top teams next season” series. Today, we will be jumping right to the Serie A, as we are done with the top 6 premier league teams. In this post, we will be starting with Juventus and what we expect from them next season. In case you haven’t seen my previous posts in this series, you can visit them and check them out.

Juventus took a big gamble at the start of the season to hire a manager with a completely different philosophy and idea of football compared to the managers the club was used in the past, managers that focus more on rock-solid defensive organization, tactical and more counter-attacking style. Nonetheless, they decided to go in a totally new direction to appoint Sarri who is more of a possession-based and attack-minded coach.

Prior to the completion of the appointment, a lot of fans had doubts on whether Sarri could play his style of football with this Juventus team who are already used to a more defensive style of play. However, Sarri has shown that he can adapt and can utilize the current Juventus players which also includes the incredible C.Ronaldo, to play his football and show superiority in the Serie A.

At the moment, Juventus are currently sitting first in the Serie A table with 63 points to their name and 1 point above impressive Lazio. Even though they are still in a very difficult battle with rivals like Lazio and Inter Milan, they are still first in the league which shows that Juventus are heading to the right direction and Sarri is looking to continue the Juventus dominance in the Serie A.

With their current position and how good they’ve been so far this season, a lot of talking points have been raised concerning what we should expect from them next season. For me, I look at Juventus and they look like a team that will be so strong next season when they start to fully understand the whole Sarriball system and how Sarri wants his team to play, most especially the one-touch passing football. This is Sarri first season in charge of Juventus and so far, they are already doing pretty well, you can now begin to imagine how good they will be when they kick into full gear of one-touch attacking football, especially when they also add more signings for next season. With this in mind, I’m expecting them to win the league next season comfortably, maybe the likes of Inter might come close, but I expect Juventus to win the league with a few points to spare.

What do you think? - What are you expecting from Juventus next season?

I would love to read your thoughts and opinions… Enjoy your day.
