It's been confirmed that Gabriel Jesus will miss Manchester City's next three matches or more as he's picked up an injury in the EFL Cup fixture against Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Probably the last thing manager Pep Guardiola needs to hear at this point in time given that he will be leading his City side to face a strong Leicester City side in this weekend's English Premier League action. This blow means that the Cityzens will go into that fixture without a recognized senior striker in the team. Sergio Kun Aguero is only due to return from injury after the upcoming International Break.

Maybe time for Pep to trust the 17-year old Liam Delap, who scored on his debut in the EFL Cup fixture against Wolves? We will only get to find out.

This in general also mean that City is having a very slim squad at the moment as boss Pep Guardiola has confirmed that he is left with only 13 senior players who are fit.

As well as Aguero, City have Bernardo Silva, Joao Cancelo. Aleks Zinchenko out until after the internationals, while Ilkay Gundogan is self-isolating after a positive Covid-19 test and Aymeric Laporte is a doubt after only just returning to training after also picking up the virus.

Gabriel Jesus has also been replaced in the Brazil 23-man squad to prosecute the upcoming International matches.
