At the current World Cup, Diego Maradona has attracted a lot of attention thanks to his eccentric behaviour during Argentina games.

Now the Albiceleste have been eliminated, but Maradona continues to hit the headlines. The 57-year-old said that he would like to coach the Argentine national team - and he would do it for free.

According to reports, Jorge Sampaoli, who actually worked with Argentina at the World Cup, will be sacked following a Last 16 defeat against France (3:4).

When Maradona worked with Argentina in 2010, the team actually showed a better result than now, although their 4:0 loss to Germany in the World Cup quarter-final led to a lot of criticism.

After that, Diego coached a couple of Middle East teams before being appointed the chairman of the Belarusian club Dinamo Brest this May.
