We all know that cricket is the most famous sports in India. We always heard the news about India related to cricket. No doubt, the Indian cricket team is really awesome. But today I am going to talk about a league of football. Football is a most entertaining and famous game in the world. Unfortunately, Football is not as much famous in India on an higher level. Though we all like to play football.
Before 2013, there is nothing much more about football in India. In the year 2013, Indian super league was founded. Now, this league has brought a massive revolution for football in India. In this league both foreign and Indian players allowed. But there are some criteria that you limited number of foreign players in a team is allowed. Last year this criteria was 8 foreign players. This is the year this number has reduced with the minor change and now it is seven.
Tomorrow is 29th September. Inauguration match of ISL will start from tomorrow. The first match will be played between ATK and Kerala Blasters. Match will start at 7:30 PM according to Indian time. The match will be played at the most famous Salt Lake stadium at Kolkata in India.
Total 10 teams always participate in ISL. The matches of league will start from tomorrow and end in on next year March 2019.
ISL increasing the culture of football in India. Now people are taking interest in watching football. Viewers for these matches increasing every year. It is one of the most successful league in India after Indian premier league of cricket.
Total 59 matches will be played among 10 teams. In this league, most of the teams belong form southern India. Except Delhi Dynamos, Jamshedpur and ATK, all remaining are the southern Indian team. Obviously, football craze is more in southern India than northern India. In northern India, West Bengal province is famous for football in India. Two teams ATK and Chennai an FC are two times winner respectively.
After all, we are eagerly waiting for the kick-start of ISL. Expecting, this season any other team will become the winner.
