The match yesterday between Zulte-Waregem and Anderlecht pretty much showed the state betting the Belgian League is in right now. It was a complete none match with a flattering win for the slight favorite and 3 goals despite not all that much danger. I made a slight loss trading this match but stayed away from any big positions. I am trying to find solid spots to get myself into but if they don't come I will just stay away and wait for better opportunities. Not forcing any action is still my main mindset right now. A look at all 4 matches for today...
Charleroi vs Eupen
Charleroi played 2-2 away against Mechelen in a match that was quite wild. It's always the same pattern with them on the road where they look quite weak crawling back in defense while scoring on the counter. At home they have more difficulties to make the play but they still managed to beat their Asian handicap lines. they will miss both Ilaimaharitra who is suspended and Diandy who got injured. Eupen currently is in a winning streak taking 10 on 12 in their last 4 matches winning the last 3 on the road. Charleroi is the team with more individual quality and deserves to be the favorite. I'm not jumping to back them on a -0.75 handicap though while I don't have the balls to go with the underdog on this one. I'll wait it out live. No Pre-Game Bets
Cercle Brugge vs Sint-Truiden
Cercle Brugge lost last week away against Anderlecht but is playing a lot better under new coach Storck. The week before at home against Moeskroen they took a hot start in their match and managed to score the 1-0. They were shaken up a bit after the 1-1 was scored and there seemed some fear to lose near the end of the match which saw 2 more goals finishing 2-2. Stvv is one of those teams that mix up ok performances with really bad ones. I do expect Cercle Brugge to again be motivated early on playing quite good and Took ma small-medium position on Cercle Brugge 1st Half +0 @ 1.925. This one could turn out in both a boring low scoring match or a crazy high scoring one. I will see live which one it more likely is to be...
Kv Kortrijk vs Waasland Beveren
Kortijk is in a bad streak taking 0 on 9 while Waasland also hasn't exactly managed to turn things around. One of the main issues of the visitors is that they have no scoring strikers as 10 different players exactly have 1 goal scored. The main live betting angle of Kortrijk playing better when they play towards their home fans with that half having more goals still remains. I don't really trust Kortrijk to take them as a short odds -0.75 favorite and need to see more of Waasland first before I would consider betting them. If I do it will be very short term 1H bet. Waasland did get crushed on the corners in their last 3 away matches going 11-1 / 6-1 & 7-1 (2 of those were top teams) while Kortrijk so far this season is 6w-0L at home in corners vs non-top teams with an average of 4.66 corners more compared to their opponents. I took a minimum bet on Kortrijk -2 CK @ 1.84
Oostende vs Moeskroen
Oostende is all over the place and probably one of the worst teams in the league at the moment taking 0 on 15 on their last 5 matches. Moeskroen had some regression to the mean after taking a hot start but took a draw (away against Cercle) and last week a win at home against Antwerp. My lean is on the visitors in case they show early on that they are having a good day. Both teams have a rather hard time to actually score and the under certainly is an option. I'm not willing to take the gamble just yet. No Pre-Game Bets
