( asianodds available on Sportmarket Pro )

Yesterday was one of those matches where things could have gone completely different betting wise as I ended up with just shy of 2 units loss. Results of both halves pretty much completely went against play with an unjustified disallowed goal for Anderlecht while Charleroi was better in the 2nd half which they lost. I'm still very much on track this season and 4 more matches are on the program today...

Eupen vs Mechelen

I wrote last week how Eupen was a team that often switches between playing a poor first half and a better 2nd half which turned out to be the case again getting 1-0 behind to win the match 1-2 in the end. Kv Mechelen by now has been put with their feet on the ground after the 0-5 defeat at home against Club Brugge after taking a good start in the league. The situation where a non-top-team loses at home with a 3 goal or more margined followed by a match away vs another non-top-team the past decade is 20W-15.5L2.5P against the Asian handicap. Nothing spectacular but it shows that there is a fairly good chance on a bounce back. Eupen on the other hand managed to break a losing streak taking their first win of the season. I will go into this match with a slight lean on Kv Mechelen and might end up taking them with the 1H handicap if they show to be the better team. I'm also leaning toward the 1H under along with the under in corners and will keep an eye on those aswel. No Pre-Game Bets

Waasland-Beveren vs Oostende

Waasland played a poor match away against Anderlecht and still was able to get away with a point. Their main issue has been creating chances and scoring goals and there is no direct reason why this should have changed. The only scored 5 in 9 matches so far with an average of 6.5 attempts of which 1.8 shots on goal at home. Oostende at times has shown to be capable on the defensive end and turned a bit more offensive with the coach stating that they simply want to score more goals than the opponent. My initial idea was to back the under but the only reference math of Oostende against a weaker opponent ended in a 2-2 score so I kept my stake at a minimum on Waasland vs Oostende Under 3 @ 1.930. I consider Oostende as the better team but Waasland is without a loss in their last 3 matches. It should be an interesting match.

Zulte-Waregem vs Cercle Brugge

Zulte-Waregem is one of those teams with great potential but it can't be said that they are reliable in their performance. The 2-2 last week came late in the match after getting 2-0 behind. Cercle Brugge is the king when it comes down to giving a lead away. This will pretty much be the scenario I will be looking for, a Zulte-Waregem come back if they get behind and a potential late goal. The under line on the corners in Zulte-Waregem matches has been adjusted to the downside now being set at 9 @ 1.99 where it used to be 2.4+ odds for this line a while back so not much to earn there. I am tempted by the over but Cercle averaging <1 goal a match keeps me back. No Pre-Game Bets

Kortrijk vs Sint-Truiden

Kortrijk has been in something of a losing streak only taking 1 point from their last 5 matches while stvv is without a loss in their last 5 matches. Last week Stvv made something of an insane comeback after being 3 goals behind. They still have a lot of missing players but do have quality in the offense with Boli & Suzuki. The main angle I'm still looking at in Kortrijk home matches is which side they play to as the haves playing toward their fans tend to be better and with more goals especially if it's the 2nd half and they have to score. All the numbers pretty much point toward the away side in this match but the really poor 1st half from Stvv against Genk last week keeps me from taking them for now. I'll see how it goes live. I do expect Stvv to score at least 1 which will be the bet I look out for most in-play. No pre-game Bets
