Belgian 2nd Division Final Preview | Beerschot Wilrijk vs OH Leuven

I am making previews on matches from the Belgian Leagues with team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles and at times bigger bets I get myself while keeping a long-term record on them...

I survived the 8 Saturday matches that were played all at once making some profit. Today the first match in the 2nd Division Final Playoff to decide the team to promote will be played. I'm by no means an expert in this league but will be watching this match and did a bit of basic research.

Beerschot Wilrijk vs OH Leuven

This final will be played over 2 legs and this is the 3rd year in a row Beerschot Wilrijk plays these matches (they lost last 2). The 2nd division is played over 2 periods and the winner of the 1st plays the winner of the 2n period. OHL won the first Period but has been in a bad streak during the 2nd where they only finished 5th being on a 3 game losing streak. They have missed Kotysh in defense and he will also be out today. These kinds of do or die matches are often dominated by nerves and rarely turn out in high scoring encounters. This system has been in place for 3 years with these results...

It is clear that there is a big goal difference between the first and 2nd legs and there has only been 1 first-half goal in the 3 first matches combined. Beerschot who is in a better flow should have the edge and they have more experience in these final matches. Given the high probability of a nervous start along with the fact that an away goal can be deadly for Beerschot, I got a full unit pre-game position in on 1st Half Under 1 @ 2.014 and will see how the match goes live and very likely reduce my risk along the way.
