Kv Mechelen vs Standard
Mechelen ended the first part of the season great while Standard booked 2 losses. Short term form is pretty much entirely out of the window after the winter break so I'm not taking that as a reference. Looking at the longer term, Standard has been the worst team against the Asian handicap (-16.8% ROI) especially away while Mechelen is at a net positive when backing them blindly in each of their regular-season matches the last 6 years. especially at home (+9.26% ROI). Standard sees a lot of injured players come back into the squad and should be able to field a strong line-up despite some illness. Kv Mechelen will be without important players Schoofs & Van Damme. My lean is on the Home team but I don't trust them enough at home this season. I won't hesitate to get in if they show that they are up for it. For as far as the total goes, Mechelen their home matches have performed well against the over line (while being negative away) with the situation from Standard being exactly the opposite which makes me lean toward the over. Mechelen is 5W-2L on the 1H over 1 line while Standard is 3W-1L on this away. No pre-game bets but I'm going in keeping a close eye on the potential home and over bets.
