There was simply too much news for me on the Belgian League yesterday that I didn't have enough time to catch up on it. This is part 2 of what has been happening for the last 7-8 days.

BELGIAN LEAGUE OFF-SEASON NEWS UPDATE

Club Brugge Coaching Staff Complete

It took a while but it now seems like new head coach Clement has his coaching staff complete. Johan Van Rumst joins him from Genk as an assistant. They will get support from Jonas Ivens who worked with Clement in Waasland-Beveren. Eddie Rob stays physical coach along with John Bessel who joined the staff. Ex-player Carl Hoefkens will act as a link between the Youth and the A-Squad and Simons will coach the U16. Frederic De Boever will be the new Keeper Coach.

Eupen Coach Makelele Leaves Team

Both the team and the coach seem to part their ways and Claude Makelele will no longer be the head coach of AS Eupen. Eupen traditionally is a forward attacking team while Makelele switched to at times a very defensive approach. The board seems to wat someone who ca work with younger players striving for an attacking play style. This is music to my ears as for betting purpose it's far more interesting to have crazy wild open games instead of 0-0 draws.

Fabien Marcedal Likely new Coach Cercle

Cercle Brugge has been in search for a new coach for a while. They first wanted Besik Hasi or a coach that knows the Belgian League. They are a satellite club of AS Monaco who seems to have chosen Fabien Marcedal as their new coach. Rudi Cossey comes from Club Brugge as T2. Strong Defender Taravel was also given a contract extension of 2 seasons.

Zulte-Waregem extends Player Contracts

3 A-squad players from Zulte-Waregem saw their contract get extended. DavyDe fauw, Sandy Walsh and Ibrahima Seck will stay with the team. Defender De Fauw is 37 and extended his contract with 1 year. Zulte-Waregem is not ready with their team and coach Dury already stated that the early season will be all about damage limitation.

Van Damme Leaves Antwerp

The contract of Antwerp coach got extended. He and Jelle Van Damme did not have the best relationship. The contract of the strong central defender expired and won't be extended. He played 2 years for Antwerp.

5 Anderlecht players to B-Squad

Not that much has happened yet in Anderlecht when it comes down to incoming transfers. The resumed training and 5 players won't be joining and were put in the B-Squad. The players are Ognjen Vranjes, Antonio Milic, Silvère Ganvoula, Kobe Cools en Josué Sa. There are still some players that will return to Anderlecht and will be added to the B-Squad.
