Europa League Previews | Club Brugge & AA Gent

I am making previews on matches from the Belgian teams in the Europa League with team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles and at times bigger bets I get myself while keeping a long-term record on them...

There are still 2 Belgian teams in the Europa League who play their first match of the 1/16 finals in the Europa League.

Club Brugge vs Manchester United

Club Brugge is still on top of the table in the Belgian league but has been less impressive in their play lately. They are however very reliable of not losing matches. Their strikers are somewhat out of form and a lot has to come from Hans Vanaken. They only have to do without Diatta who is quite important to create danger and can play their A-Squad aside from that. Manchester United has put more importance on the league and will be rotating their squad tonight. They also have some injured players with Pogba and Rashford but still are able to field quite the competitive team. Man U has not lost 16 of their last 17 EL matches while keeping a clean sheet in 6 of their last 7. So far this year there hasn't been a single goal from a Club Brugge striker. I do expect Club Brugge to go their chance but nothing really tempts me betting wise pre-game. It is one of those matches where I will likely bet what I see how the match is played should give a better picture. No Pre-Game Bets.

AS Roma vs AA Gent

AA Gent remains a solid team this season but clearly missed Kums & Depoitre a couple of matches back. Kums will play for sure while Depoitre remains a question mark. Yaremchuk is the only injured player tonight. AS Roma is 5th in the Serie A and in a bad streak currently also missing some key players. (Diawara & Pastore). Only 25000 fans are expected in a stadion with 73000 seats. AA Gent coach stated that they will come to score while AS Roma coach does not exclude switching to a 5 player defense after the 3 defeats in a row. I see AA Gent as a team that is potentially still undervalued in Europe and was willing to take a small gamble on AA Gent +1.5 @ 1.70 as a 1 goal home win is not all that unlikely. I might get in more or get out depending on how the match goes. AA Gent to score will also be on my radar if Depoitre is fit and plays a strong match.
