I am making previews on matches from the Belgian Jupiler League with team news, player form, injuries along with my personal betting angles and at times bigger bets I get myself while keeping a long-term record on them...
We have reached the final 2 weeks of the regular season and all matches are played at the same time today and next week. This is far from optimal betting wise and I will mostly rely on radio reports for live betting action. I just took a brief look at all the matches with basic notes.
Club Brugge vs Cercle Brugge
Cercle Brugge is hot right now taking 4 wins in a row and being 3 points clear of the last place also having the advantage of having a win more. They always play with forward intentions but remain having a hard time to score. I would be surprised if they plan on building a wall and I did take them on the corner handicap last week and will do so again this week. Cercle Brugge Corners +3 @ 2.01. I also like Club Brugge with the handicap but will wait to see how the match goes live. Cercle will without a doubt take big risks late in the match if they need to so that might be interesting. Vormer, Dennis & Okereke are out for Club.
AA Gent vs Charleroi
Charleroi played a solid match last week at home against Standard while AA Gent lost against Cercle. The week before, Charleroi lost away against Club Brugge but deserved more. Overall I'm always interested in betting Charleroi as the underdog and did not mind taking a small-medium pre-game position on Charleroi +0.5 @ 2.09. I also took some on Charleroi +2 Corners @ 1.813 The home team by no means dominates the corners while Charleroi hasn't lost those in their last 5 away matches.
Kortrijk vs Antwerp
Kortrijk has nothing left to play for but showed good things in the last couple of weeks. Antwerp has had somewhat of a scoring problem, but Mbokani showed to be back last week with 3 goals. Overall not a match I'm going to get involved in without seeing more first. No Pre-Game Bets
Oostende vs Racing Genk
Oostende has been pretty bad and has a really hard time creating chances let alone score goals. Genk also never scored more than 1 goal in their last 9 matches. My lean is on the team fighting for playoff 1 but I will need some confirmation first. No Pre-Game Bets
Anderlecht vs Zulte-Waregem
Anderlecht is in a good streak scoring 9 goals in their last 2 matches while ZUlte-Waregem has not looked all that solid in defense with Seck out. In previous encounters from them away against top teams, they started the match with full focus on defense and the main question is if they will do the same today as they have nothing to lose. I would not be surprised to see a similar scenario. The only bet that slightly tempts me is Zulte-Waregem Team Total Over 1 @ 2.520. I will wait it out live though hoping to get both confirmation and a better handicap. No Pre-Game Bets
Moeskroen vs Waasland
Moeskroen has nothing to play for while Waasland has played horribly which made everyone wonder how the hell they are going to ever win a match. The relegation battle is often a strange thing though. They have no choice but to take the 3 points but they only managed to score 2 goals in their last 5 matches. If my hand was forced I would bet on a collapse taking Moeskroen -1.5 @ 4.0+. Standard vs Sint-Truiden
The pattern for Stvv the last couple of weeks is that they take a strong start in matches but are unable to keep it up for long and drop back 10 minutes into the match. I do expect a home win in the end for Standard who tend to do well at home.I will wait it out the first 10 minutes hoping for a good start again from Stvv. If they can't maintain it and Standard takes over the odds might have moved enough to make them worth the risk. Under in corners if Standard takes the lead is also an option. No Pre-Game Bets
Mechelen vs Eupen
Mechelen year after year is in the fight for playoff 1 but have always missed out. Tonight is their big Chance against Eupen at home. Teams in fight for playoff 1 late in the season don't always win though so I'm quite cautious on the handicap. I do expect Mechelen to start furious moving forward in the match. No Pre-Game Bets
