West Bromwich Albion yesterday confirmed the signing of Sam Allardyce “Big Sam” as he is fondly called after Sacking Slave Bilic who got them promoted to the English Premier League. Bilic was on a run of poor results, winning only just 1 game out of 14 and getting four draws in the process with the most recent a draw against Manchester City.
Sam Allardyce is known to have rescued the club from going down into the lower divisions, he has done it with the likes of Blackburn, Sunderland, West Ham United, and recently Crystal Palace. He has been known to step in when the clubs are faced with the fear of relegation and in most cases known to move them out of relegation into safe waters.
2017/2018 of the premier league was one of the most difficult times in his managerial career when he managed Everton and was unable to make them contenders for European spots. He was however axed after a run of bad results. Jose Mourinho has never been a fan of Sam Allardyce, during Mourinho’s second reign as Chelsea boss he played against Sam Allardyce’s West Ham United where he met resistance from West Ham’s defense with Mourinho accusing him of playing “19th Century style of football”, West Ham United players faked an injury and wasted time to draw the match. In turn when Allardyce was asked about Mourinho’s claims he laughed and replied: “I don’t give a shite, to be honest”.
If your team is struggling and is at they are on the edge of being relegated, go get Big Sam to keep your team afloat.
