Hertha BSC are the first points in this season's Bundesliga in the Olympic Stadium: In the home game against SC Freiburg, the club has not come out over a 1-1 (1-1). Previously, the club had won all three home games, one against Bayern. The Berlin are after a harmless offensive appearance temporarily fifth (15 points), but could be overtaken by Borussia Mönchengladbach on the eighth day.

The excitement of the game was a controversial referee decision in the 89th minute. Referee Benjamin Cortus gave after a contact between Manuel Gulde and Palko Dárdai first penalty and took this back to video evidence. Apparently, the referee recognized a foul by Dárdai - a controversial move, especially since there was no clear wrong decision and should be used only in such cases of video evidence.

Hertha's only goal scored the currently outstanding Ondrej Duda. The 23-year-old came to Hertha in 2016 for a million dollars and had to contend with many injuries in his first two years. Coach Pál Dárdai stuck to him - and now the Slovak repays the trust. The remarkable opening goal against Freiburg per Schlenzer in the right corner (7th minute) was already his sixth goal in the current season, so Duda is currently the most successful Berlin scorer.

Hertha dominated the game, despite the superiority but not to great opportunities and missed the preliminary decision. Then hit the opponent: In the 36th Minute scored Robin Koch by distance shot equalizer. It was the only Freiburg shot on goal in the first half.

Also in the second section Hertha lacked the pace in the attack. Vedad Ibisevic missed the best chance of winning after a cross, his header just missed the goal (62.). Freiburg came in the final phase to a great opportunity by Luca Waldschmidt, Rune Jarstein responded brilliantly. After the draw Freiburg remains with nine points in the lower league midfield.
