Drink driving deserves punishment, as does a lot of mistakes us humans make! He’s been with them for a long time when he could have easily left so I think the fan should show him support at the moment as he had been an amazing keeper for them. Hugo made a big mistake, and I believe he should be punished, maybe a fine. Drink driving is a serious issue, numerous deaths are caused each year by these reckless drivers and it is totally unacceptable. Luckily for everybody and Hugo’s sake, no accidents were caused and nobody got hurt, but I’m disappointed and shocked that Hugo would do this, he’s the last person I would expect to drink drive.

I believe he should be fined as he needs to learn his lesson, but I don’t believe he should be stripped off his captaincy as many people are saying.

Like I said, Hugo made a mistake, but don’t we all? Some mistakes are bigger than others but all in all a mistake is a mistake and we learn from them and become better people, and I’m sure Hugo will learn from this. He’s a respectable and humble man, and he’s never put a foot wrong at spurs apart from today. He’s got a fantastic attitude and he has served them so well, he’s been their skipper for so many years and I would hate to see the armband taken off him. We all love Hugo and he’s been a fantastic captain and servant to the club.

He has come out and apologized to everybody and he knows he’s done wrong. I accept his apology as should everybody else. They have got a huge game on Monday against Manchester United where they simply cannot afford for him to miss the game. I really don’t know if he will play or not now, it’s probably unlikely but I’m praying he does, and he can redeem himself by having a great performance and win them all 3 points to take back home to London!

We and you know you did wrong, but as a football fan, I accept your apology and hope you can redeem yourself to your family and everyone else on the pitch, our love for you doesn’t change.
