The most beautiful league in the world started again. The Champions League soccer. In the spotlight of this I would like to discuss a topic with my Scorum family.

In The Netherlands, a 13 year old boy died after a ' crash '  with another player on the field. It brings the topic in my head " Should young goalkeepers wear a helmet during a soccer game " ?

"It doesn't happen that much"

That is correct. How often do you hear this? We all know Petr Cech, who wears a helmet all the time. Looks funny, but he knows what it is to have a head injury. When it happens, it is in the media, but the storm cools down very quickly. "It doesn't look nice ", " people will laugh at me " and many other reasons why they should not wear a helmet.

Safety fluorescent jacket for youth, this is common in West of Europe when they travel to or from school. In the beginning, it was strange but now we almost horn when we see somebody in the dark without. Children get used to it and when everybody wears it, nobody laughs.

In my opinion, it should start the same way with children between 8-16 years. They jump like a cat but they are not always aware about the consequences when they jump.

What is your opinion? Somebody of the readers has keepers experience?
