• The Red Devils scored 12 goals at this World Cup so far. That is equal to the number of goals that they scored on the blessed World Cup in 1986.

• Belgium is the first country since 1970 that in the knock-out phase manages to turn a 0-2 deficit into a victory. West Germany managed to win 3-2 in England after an extra 3-2 draw. Building on that: we have to go even further back in time, to the World Cup of 1966, to find a country that in the knock-out phase reverses a 0-2 to a victory within 90 minutes. Portugal was then 0-2 and even 0-3 in the grudge against North Korea, but won the game still 5-3.

• Subs Chadli and Fellaini both scored a goal. For the first time in the World Cup history, two substitutes managed to score a knockout match for their country. For the first time Belgium managed to win a match in the 1 / 8th finals of a World Championship within 90 minutes.

• The distance a player scored with the head was never that far as Jan Vertongen did against Japan

For what it is worth :o)

At the end it is better to be in the pages of the historybooks as a WorldCup winner but nevertheless, the are funny nice to knows.
