Athletics legend Usain Bolt is not allowed to train anymore with his Australian club "Central Coast Mariners". The Jamaican was offered a professional contract from the team, but both parties did not reach a financial agreement (for the time being).

"If no third party comes with a financial contribution, agreement will be difficult" the manager said.

For years, Usain Bolt (32) was chasing gold medals, now the former top sprinter is chasing a professional contract in football. Bolt has been on trial base at the Australian club Central Coast Mariners, who has now offered the Jamaican a professional contract.

But the management of Bolt is temporarily not allowed. "The proposed wage is much lower than Bolt had in mind," said Greg O'Rourke (boss of the Australian competition) to the Australian newspaper ABC.

The Central Coast Mariners would have proposed an annual salary of 80,000 euros. But Bolt wants 20-fold. "If a third party does not make a financial contribution, it is unlikely that there will be an agreement", the Australian club reports in a press release.

For the time being, Bolt is no longer allowed to train with the Central Coast Mariners. "We do not want this case to distract the team too much in the preparations for the next game," said the Australian club.
