Victor Osimhen faces a lengthy spell on the sidelines

The Super Eagles of Nigeria will head into the AFCON 2021 without their superstar 'marksman', Victor Osimhen. It has been confirmed that Osimhen will be out for at least 3 months due to a head injury. Sad one! 😥

The inform Napoli striker came out worst as he suffered a collision of heads with Milan Skriniar of Internazionale in the game over the weekend.

The good news is that Victor has successfully undergone face surgery. The surgeon revealed that Osimhen needed 6 plates and 18 screws during the procedure on his face.

Osimhen had a hand in 10 of Nigeria's 14 goals during the qualifiers. That's a whopping 71.5% of total goal contributions.

The numbers just reveal how integral Victor Osimhen is to Nigeria's Super Eagles team. Yes, his services will me missed greatly, but the team and it's Technical crew will need to find a way of impressing in the tournament as they're one of the favourites.

Get well soon Victor 💚
