It has been reported by one of football's most trusted journalists @FabrizioRomano that Bruno Fernandes has agreed to and signed a new 5-year deal that will keep him at Old Trafford till June 2027 subject to official announcement by Manchester United FC. This new deal is said to place Fernandes amongst the three highest paid stars in Manchester United's wage bill.
Bruno Fernandes is certainly one of such players at Manchester United that deserves a new deal with improved terms especially as he has been of the best players in the team since his arrival in January 2020.
The signing of a new contract follows up an impressive international break with his National team. Bruno was pivotal as he helped Portugal book a ticket to Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup. In one of the play-offs final, Portugal squared up against North Macedonia and Bruno Fernandes was the scorer of Portuga's two goals as they defeated North Macedonia 2-0 in Lisbon.
With the international break over, Bruno Fernandes and the rest of his Manchester United team mates will now switch their attention to the Premier League. Manchester United will host Leicester City in a crunch Premier League fixture on Saturday evening as they seek to secure a place in the highly sought after top four in the league table. Match kicks off at exactly 17:30 GMT at Old Trafford.
