First of all, excuse my critic nature and my enjoyment for conspiracy theories. Yeah... this post will have the conspiracy touch. Why? Well because as much of a Football (Soccer) fan as I am, I am also aware that theres always been scams and Mafia organizations around Football. Even the freaking FIFA has been involved in a massive case of corruption in 2015. If the biggest Football Federation is involved in corruption and fraud, why wouldn`t smaller organizations be scammy and shady too?.

Let´s refresh our memories with the embarrassing incidents the FIFA was accused back then: "In 2015, U.S. federal prosecutors disclosed cases of corruption by officials and associates connected with the Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA), the governing body of association football, futsal and beach soccer. Near the end of May 2015, fourteen people were indicted in connection with an investigation by the United States Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and the Internal Revenue Service Criminal Investigation Division (IRS-CI) into wire fraud, racketeering, and money laundering. The United States Attorney General simultaneously announced the unsealing of the indictments and the prior guilty pleas by four football executives and two corporations." From Wikipedia.

To me these news were not surprising, its pretty clear that Football is a business, there is a lot of money in game, and where there`s money, there`s corruption... as simple as that. When I was a kid I used to believe that tournaments and leagues were won by the best teams, but as I grew up I started realizing that this could not be the case. I understood the concepts of corruption, bribery, scams, rigged games and so on. Now I believe that more often than not, games are pre arranged with monetary bribes. In short: Football is rigged

Another clear example of corruption in Football is the one that took place in Italy in 2006. "The 2006 Italian football scandal, or Calciopoli in the Italian-speaking world,[1] involved Italy's top professional football leagues, Serie A and Serie B. The scandal was uncovered in May 2006 by Italian police, implicating league champions Juventus and other major teams including Milan, Fiorentina, Lazio and Reggina when a number of illegal telephone interceptions showed a thick network of relations between team managers and referee organizations, being accused of rigging games by selecting favourable referees." From Wikipedia.

Italian clubs were rigging games by bribing referees in order to make more money betting for the teams they knew were going to win, smart huh? Thats Football guys, you can open your eyes or you can keep believing in it like a 6 years old believes in the tooth fairy, its up to you.

So let`s talk about Real Madrid and how they won the Champions League 2017-2018. Real has won this league so many times they should be a solid team that wins because they are better than their opponents, right? Well I honestly doubt about it, first of all the shady nature of Football makes me doubt about it, and secondly... the facts.

In the semifinals Real Madrid played against Bayern Munich and surprisingly enough, in the last stages of one of the most prestigious Football leagues in the world (probably the most), Sven Ulreich who is Bayern Muhich`s goalkeeper committed the silliest mistake, favoring Real Madrid and helping them to get to the final of the league. Honest mistake? Doubt it.

Then in the final game, Real Madrid played against Liverpool, a clash of giants. But then in the final game of the Champions League Loris Karius, Liverpool`s goalkeeper, did not one but two giant mistakes that costed his team the title. Yeah Real Madrid seems to be very lucky that agains them, in the final instances of the biggest Football League, all their opponents goalkeepers make silly mistakes that always help Real Madrid to win those games. Coincidence? Destiny? Randomness? I just don` buy it.
