Soon Barcelona could be showing a new logo in its shirt. The redesign has been approved by the main executives who have claimed that they have taken this move because they want to modernize the brand. However, the directors are going to have to wait until the "Asamblea de Compromisarios," which will take place on October 20th, validates the change.

For starters, the capital letters "FCB" has been removed. Thus, the vertical lines and the cross have increased in size. Also, the traditional ball moved a little upward and increased in size as well.

The removal of the letters is the most striking. They had said that the change was influenced under the premise that other European team uses the same initials (Bayern Múnich).

Nevertheless, the new logo will be on the new products for sale next season since Nike, which is the official sponsor of the club already manufactured all the clothing kit. And as such, it has to be distributed with the current logo.

This new design will surely cause buzz. The fan club has grown enormously these last years, specially when Guardiola structured the second version of the "Dream Team," which was called the "Pep Team."

However, apparently this new design hasn't been to the liking of the majority. A current poll is taking place in one of the most popular newspaper in Barcelona, and around 70% of the fans don't like the new logo at all.

Well, we'll eventually see. One thing is for sure, and that is when the new logo comes out, whether they like it or not, fans will get the new shirt anyway.
