The UEFA Executive Committee has chosen Germany as host to the UEFA EURO 2024 European Championship.

Final bidding presentations and announcement ceremony were held today (Thursday) at UEFA's headquarters in Nyon, Switzerland.

In April 2018, the German Football Federation (DFB) and the Turkish Football Federation (TFF) submitted their official bids.

After evaluating the reports of these bids, UEFA has decided to elect the organizer as well.

It will be the great European country, Germany, which has won the race and will host the European Championship 'Euro 2024'.

It was UEFA president Alexander Ceferin who made public the name of the organizer and wished success in the organization.

After that were the German leaders who took the floor, pledged in good organization and thanked the UEFA leaders for the selection.

This decision was taken by 19 members of the UEFA council, while the president of DFB, Reinhard Grindel, and vice-president of TFF, Servet Yardimci, did not take part in this decision.
