Already round 5 of the regular competition in the Jupiler Pro League will be played this weekend! The most interesting game is the one between KRC Genk and Anderlecht.

Postponed games

The Pro League decided to postpone the games of the teams which are still trying to reach the Champions League or Europa League group phase! So the game of Club Brugge against Charleroi and the game between Antwerp and Gent are rescheduled. Luckily Antwerp and Gent were facing each other, otherwise 3 games would have been postponed.

These clubs did ask the rescheduling nicely so that they could prepare themselves to the max for the return game. And all 3 teams do still have the possibility to reach their dreams.

Club Brugge will have to defend at home a 1-0 win in the away leg. While Linz was a very physical team, they should be able to reach the group phase of the Champions League. Linz had bad luck because their opponent of this weekend wasn't willing to postpone their game.

Antwerp does need a scoreless draw or a win at home against AZ. The main reason that these games are postponed is because the Dutch eredivisie decided to give AZ rest during this weekend. Well everything is possible, but I do give Antwerp a small advantage.

Gent on their side is the only team who will have to play away in the return game. They did win 2-1 at home. They were just to reserved during the first half and did increase a possible deadly away goal. So they do know that they probably will have to score. Hoping on a scoreless draw is just too risky!

Hockey vs Football

Also the European Champions hockey are played in Belgium this week. And because our national teams was/is one the favorites, I did watch some hockey this week.

Wel Hockey has the VAR much better arranged then football. When the VAR is looking at the re-play, the re-play is also shown in the stadion. Also the conversation between the ref and the VAR referee can be heard by the crowd. All of this makes it much more transparent.

Genk vs Anderlecht

For the first time this season, the stadion of Genk is completely sold out. I do think that Kompany, Chadli and Nasri have to do something with this combined with the end of the holidays!

Both teams are more or less wounded. KRC Genk did only win 2 of their 4 games. And most of these games were against opponents which should have been beaten.

Anderlecht on the other side have the worst start of the season in their history with only 2 points out of 4 games. Okay, people did expect that the team had to adjust to the way of playing that Kompany wants, but they do look emotionaly instable!

I will be in the stadion with the youngest son!

The bets

Only 6 games to choise from, which will make it harder for the 3 combo's. Will have to try not to trow away already 2 bets after the first game of the round!

Trifold Win

First bet on the slip is Standard vs Kortrijk. Both teams did have a great start of the season, but I do favor Standard. They do play at home and the H2H stats are in their favor.

Second one is the game between STVV and Zulte Waregem. STVV is having a hard start and while Zulte did loose their first game, the level of their play is increasing game by game. STVV has the advantage of the artifical pitch, but I don't think that this will be enough! Zulte will take the 3 points home with them!

Last bet on the slip is Mouscron vs Eupen. Eupen did steal a point last round away at Club Brugge, they did start to play more defensivly. Mouscron on their side still has to loose at home. I do see Mouscron as favorite but I will be a small victory!

Because I do have the most faith in this betting slip, the booster will used for this one!

Trifold BTTS

Here I do expect that Cercle Brugge and Waasland-Beveren both will score. Both teams are at the bottom of the league, but also they scored in 3 of the 4 games. It is hard to pick a winner here, so I will use this game for the BTTS Trifold.

Second one is Genk vs Anderlecht. I do expect lots of chances for both team due not being solid enough yet in the defense. So a BTTS is very well possible.

Standard vs Kortrijk. Kortrijk looks like a real scoring machine at the start of this season. Combine this with the fact that they did score in their last 4 visits at Sclessin. Standard on the other side will probably will the game with a big marge, which will drop the concentration giving room for Kortrijk to score a goal!

Trifold O/U 2.5

First game in the slip here in Genk vs Anderlecht. You can read why in the Trifold BTTS.

Second one is Oostende vs KV Mechelen. Both try to play attacking football so lots of goals are possible!

And lets take STVV against Zulte as third game on the slip!

Double players to score

As already announced I was thinking about switching from the correct score double, to a "Player to score" double. The rewards will be of course much lower, but the probability of winning such a bet will increase of course!

Just like the correct Score bet it is a gamble. For this weekend I will go for Edmon from Standard and Dewaest from Genk!

Cheers,

Peter
