I have been using copytip as one of my bookmakers for a little less then a month. So it is time for a review and to verify if I will keep on using their service!
First let me write that I do also use regular bookies (like Unibet for instance) and crypto related bookies (like nitrogensports or 888starz).
What is CopyTip?
Well Copytip is more then a regular bookmaker. They do offer a copytip service, for on one side the tippers and on the other side the copiers.
Copiers
Copiers can see all available strategies with all related stats and decide to follow a certain strategy. You do follow all bets from the strategy, without knowing the bets in advance. It is more like giving someone the power to bet with your money. If you are not so good in sports betting but do want the thrill and a chance on making a decent profit, this is the way to go.
You do need to understand that this service is not for free. Each strategy has a predefined profit share. Let's say that this is 10%. This would mean that if the bet was a winner, 10% of the profit with your stake will be given to the tipper!
Tipper
Yeah I know you are one of the happy few punters who do make long term profits. So what is in it for you. Well it is simple from the moment you do have people copying on of your strategies, you could win some extra money. How much depends a different variables, like the number of copiers, how much money is following your strategy, your profit share and of course if you do keep on crating winners.
I do see often strategies who do sky rocket due to a hot streak, but suddenly the streak gets cold!
The big advantage for a tipper is that they don't have to make their bets publicly available and the copiers do get the same odds. So you aren't giving information away for free.
But you also need to be honest in the description of your strategy. Indicate how many bets per day/week on average and what your staking plan is (for instance flat staking).
Bookmaker
While for sure the tipper functionality did make me pull the trigger about trying out Copytip, there bookmaker service is just great and will probably keep me on board. There is no reason in fooling myself into believing that I will get lots of copiers. I just need to focus on my own bets and if the yield is good enough, you never know!
But back to the bookmaking part. The biggest plus for me is that by using Copytip I do get the odds from lots of bookmakers at the same time. This rules out having a lot of browsers open and checking all the odds from the different bookies one by one before deciding which one I will use. They are some bookies which do charge a fee, but this is clearly indicated, so not problems with that.
place a bet, I just clicked the highest odds, resulting often in an unplaced bet because those odds just did drop. It is better to enter the minimum odds you do want to get and place the bet. The software will always place the bet at the highest offered odds. This is a big plus for me. I do know that also other websites are offering this service, but most of the time the minimum ante at those is way above my limit. So they are not an option.
The downside for me is that the minimum wager (around 6 EURO) is around my max. But in return I do get better odds, and in some cases markets which aren't offered by the other bookies I am using.
I have to build up my bankroll so that pin88 bets are in reach for me. Not so much for the asian handicap or 1X2 betting, but for the corner asian handicap market they are offering.
Deposits
Copytip does offer 4 different ways of depositing funds for placing bets of copy tips. They do accept not only regular currency but also Bitcoin deposits are accepted. I haven't done BTC, but I do assume that the deposit will be converted into Euro. If that is the case I would not advice uploading funds with BTC, because it could be less BTC when you convert back from Euro to BTC. If you do want to wager with BTC, nitrogensports.eu probably is a better option.
Searching for a strategy to copy!
Well I personally don't do this, but of course I do check how others are doing from time to time and how my strategies are ranked!
If you do want to find a strategy, just click on the left side of the screen on Copy Strategy.
Now you will have an overview of the strategies with the highest turnover and which were active in the past 30 days.
But I do set my filters a little bit different.
First of all I am not interested into the total profit for the punter, but to his yield. Yield always does beat turnover. Secondly I am only interested into strategies with more than 50 tips. Everything below 50 tips could be due to a hot or cold streak.
If you do find something what you do like, then click on the strategy name. As page like this will be shown. Here you can find all important information about the strategy.
Also do check if the tipper also has other strategies running and if he has inactive strategies. If the tipper does have a lot of inactive loosing strategies, this could be a red flag.
I am pretty happy with my strategies for the moment. Both are in the green. Now it is time to keep them there!
Conclusion!
Well overall I am pretty happy with Copytip. It does gives me access some bookies which were out of reach for me due to country restrictions. Also I do like the stats keeping and graphical part of the website.
It also runs pretty decent on mobiles, so another advantage.
The only downside is the minimal wager amount, but if I can keep up my results, this should become less and less a problem.
If you do want to try it out, feel free to use my referral link. It won't cost you anything!
Cheers,
