I am from Honduras so I guess I have to write about Honduran football and include some CONCACAF. Right now Motagua, which by the way is my favorite team is playing a pre-Concachampions season and have now reached semi finals. On Thursday night they played against the Panamanian Tauro in Panama.

Motagua had a real bad first half and was completely shadowed by the Panamanian team who luckily for us only scored one goal in this first half. At the beginning of the second half they were given a penalty shot, good call, and made it 2-0. Then they had an easy chance for a third goal and failed.

After this the substitutions made by Motagua started paying off and they had some pretty good chances until at last a good header by Montes gave them the goal that meant the tie ended 2-1.

Losing is never good and as visit I think a team should try at least for a draw, but over all losing 2-1 is not bad, the away goal counts double so a 1-0 win in Tegucigalpa puts Motagua in the final where winning means a ticket to ConcaChampions, the winner goes to the World Cup. Of course this part is difficult as you have to face the Mexican and US teams who are obviously at least a level above the Central American teams, but that has to be faced later. The thing for now is getting there.
