The team celebrating goal.

The EFL Cup matches went down today in England and we saw the English Premier League teams scoring quite a good number of goals in their respective fixture.

It was a great game for some while it didn't go well for some teams at the same time. I was particularly interested in a match due to what I saw in the lineup, I felt the club manager wants to gamble as usual and it is been the reason why they have won a domestic title in recent times.

Seeing a starting lineup without any of the club's first eleven starting players made me curious about what the coach was trying to do. It has become a habit of Liverpool's manager not to take the domestic cup seriously but things went well for the club against another English Premier League side.

Liverpool played Norwich for the second time this season with a new set of players and still got the same results.

Both encounters ended 3 - 0 with Liverpool coming victorious.

Timikas and Kanote keep showing how effective their service was by keeping clean sheets as they did over the weekend against Crystal.

Despite the absence of the big names, Jurgen Klopp's side was able to grind out the necessary results they needed to progress to the next round of the competition but how far would this young team go?

Minamino scored twice in the encounter and Origi scored one as the team repeated what they did on the same ground in August.
