Manchester City 0 - 0 Southampton.

Southampton unbelievably held Manchester City at the Etihad Stadium, I wasn't expecting that from a team that scored six times in the Uefa Champions league during the week against Leipzig.

Southampton is struggling this season and haven't a win but have played four draws, they are just so unlucky despite their performance against teams.

Manchester City dominated as usual but were poor in attack, the visitors got more goals on target compared to what City had. The hopes of sitting among the top four this weekend might be dashed for City if Manchester United, Chelsea, and Everton get three points from their matches. They will be looking forward to returning to winning ways in their next match.

The League Champions have lost and drew one game each this season out of five, they currently have 10 points so far.

Wolves 0 - 2 Brentford.

I was expecting an outstanding performance from Wolves after what they delivered last week against Watford but they fell flat against the newly promoted side Brentford in their fifth game of the 2021/22 Premier League season.

They have only earned three points this season and it is an embarrassing achievement for a side with so many attacking abilities. Playing against Brentford ought to have been an opportunity to extend their lead on the table but it went the other way round for them.

Unlike wolves, Brentford took their chances well and it paid off for them. They have gathered eight points from five matches, losing just one match and it seems to be a good statistic for a side that just returned to the topflight league.

It ended 0 - 2 in the encounter and both goals were scored by Ivan Toney in the 28th minute and Bryan Mbeumo in the 34th minute of the first half. No other goal was recorded as both sides made several attempts but couldn't get a goal.

With five matches gone, the Wolves team might end up regretting they wasted so many opportunities this season.
