Manchester United will play host to bitter rivals Liverpool in one of the two premier league games scheduled for Thursday.

Having lost out to Leicester City on Tuesday, Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's Red Devils would be looking to bounce back and there is no better opponent to do this against than Jurgen Klopp's Reds.

Liverpool, rather than Manchester United would be under immense pressure to pick up all three points as their quest to seal a top four finish against all odds would be at the back of their minds.

A loss for Jurgen Klopp and his men would most certainly end any hopes of securing a Champions League spot for next season as the likes of Leicester City, Chelsea and even West Ham United appear more in control of their fate than Liverpool.

A win for Liverpool would see them.leapfrog West Ham to occupy fifth spot and with a game in hand over both fourth place Chelsea and West Ham, anything is possible.

A win for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer's men would surely confirm a second place finish as they have already still a Champions League spot for next season.

Going into this game, which was rescheduled much to the displeasure of Manchester United and thanks to the Fans protest two Sundays ago, the Reds are slightly better in terms of form.

The Reds have picked 11 points from a possible 15 from their last 5 league encounter, while Manchester United could only manage 10 points from a possible 15.

Having said and unlike the first leg at Anfield, this one would be a bit open as the onus lie on Liverpool to go for the jugular and this would leave them exposed to Manchester United's counter attacking style.

Now who are the men to look out for going into this contest?

Mo Salah and Bruno Fernandes are just two of the 22 players who would start from both ends of the pitch to look out for.

If they are to get the better of their opponents, then these two would have to be at the top of their games to steer their team to success respectively.

Missing in action are?

Manchester United would not be able to call on Harry Maguire , who picked up an injury against Aston Villa at the weekend. Also not available are Daniel James, Anthony Martial and Phil Jones.

On the other hand , Liverpool would be without long standing absentees Virgil Van Dijk, Joe Gomez, Joel Matip, Divock Origi and Jordan Henderson.

THE BET ODDS

Manchester United to win stands at 2.92. While a win for Liverpool stands at 2.45. A draw stands at 3.78.
