Ronaldinho paid $1,600,000 as bail and will serve house arrest

The Brazilian was released from prison and will be under house arrest in a hotel in Asunción. Ronaldinho and his older brother were arrested on March 6 in the Paraguayan capital, after entering the country with false passports. Both arrived in Paraguay two days ago, to be part of a social assistance program for boys and girls in the country and were immediately arrested for presenting manipulated identity documents.

The Paraguayan businesswoman who managed the arrival of the Brazilian brothers in the country and who presides over the charity of which they were going to be part, has had an international arrest warrant since March 18. The brazilian served a month incarceration yesterday at the National Police headquarters in Asunsión and was released today, after paying $1,600,000 as part of the bail.

Ronaldinho and his brother will be under house arrest in a hotel in Asunción, where they will be in separate rooms and under permanent surveillance.
