After the last AC Milan - Juventus FC match, in which Gonzalo Higuain missed an important penalty kick, in Italy there was a bit of controversy, because of the decision to leave the attempt to the Argentinian, (former Juventus Player) despite the designated penalty taker was Franck Kessié.

Many sports journalists, fans and commentators have said it, especially looking at the statistics of Higuain, who both with the national team and with the clubs, has missed decisive penalties in his career.

And so I asked myself: but then, using the parameter of the scoring percentage,

who are the 10 best penalty takers currently playing in Serie A?

Then I researched the data and processed a new statistic for you, setting some parameters that I considered the most appropriate.

The ranking you will see is not on any other website and the data are updated to date of November 15, 2018.

• I considered only the players with at least 10 successful penalties.
  

• The statistics for each player concern all time data.

• Only players who are currently in Serie A, in the 2018/19 season, have been included
• In case of a tie, I rated first the player with the highest number of penalties scored
