Born 18 January 1971, Guardiola was a player for Spanish professional football. He is currently coaching the team he formally played for, and is equally the coach of Manchester city.

Guardiola who is being cheered as one of the best midfielders in his time; usually in a deep-lying playmaking role as a defensive midfielder.

He as a player, won Segunda Division B while playing for Barcelona B. While playing for Barcelona, he won La Liga almost consecutively between 1990 and 1999. Still in Barcelona, he won Copa del Rey between 1996 and 1997, he won Supercopa de Espana consecutively from 1991 to 1994 and also in 1996. He won European cup between 1991 and 1992, UEFA cup winner's cup between 1996 and 1997 and European Super cup in 1992.

While in Spain u23, he won Olympic Gold Medal in 1992.

However, as an individual, Guardiola backed Bravo Award in 1992, Spain Best player (Olympics) still in 1992 and UEFA European championship team of the tournament in 2000.

This legend spent majority of his career in Barcelona as part of the Dream team of Johan Cruyff that won La Liga titles four times consecutively from 1991 to 1994 and in 1992 won the club's first European cup.

As a coach, Guardiola while coaching Barcelona B, won Tercera Division between 2007/08 and as a Barcelona coach, he won La Liga 3 times consecutively from 2008/09 to 2010/11.

Moreover, he won Copa del Rey in 2008/09 and 2011/12, also won supercopa de Espana from 2009 to 2011, UEFA champions league in 2008/09 and 2010/2011, UEFA super cup in 2009 and 2011 and the big one, FIFA club World cup in 2009 and 2011.

Furthermore, Guardiola made Bayern Munich and Manchester city proud in several occasions as a coach.

While coaching Bayern Munich, he won Bundesliga between 2013/14 and 2015/16, DFB - pokal in 2013/14 and 2015/16, UEFA super cup in 2013, FIFA club World cup in 2013.

As a coach of Manchester city, he has won Premier league in 2017/18, EPL cup in 2017/18 and FA community shield in 2018.

Guardiola is regarded as one of the most successful managers in the World football, having won 24 major honours altogether.

As an individual, Guardiola has won several awards ranging from Don Balon award in 2009/2010, Miguel Munoz Trophy in 2008/09 and 2009/2010, Onze d'Or coach of the year in 2009, 2011 and 2012, world soccer magazine world manager of the year in 2009 and 2011, world soccer magazine 2nd Greatest manager in 2013, among several other awards.
