After a successful season for the team as they won the UEFA Champions league, Chelsea has given Olivier Giroud another chance to stay at tge club for additional one year that will see him throughout 2021/2022 season, his contract is scheduled to end at the end of this season but there was a considerable decision because of Olivier Giroud impact on the success of Chelsea Uefa Champions league victory this season. Giroud joined Chelsea in 2018 from Arsenal in January transfer.

His first season was cool despite his old age, he scored 5 goals and 3 assists in 18 matches, also he recorded 23 goals and 11 assists in 70 appearances for Chelsea. This season his performance was cool in all his substitute and starting game. In all competitions he scored 11 goals in 31 matches. in this season Champions league he scored six goals in the Champions League helping Chelsea reach the top of Europe for the first time in nine years.

Before his contract extension he has complained of little playing time and also he was linked with a move to Ac Milan but unfortunately he was offered a new offer at Chelsea which stop his move to tge Italian club.
