Luka Jovic who was signed in 2019 for a fee close to €70 Million from Eintracht Frankfurt to Real Madrid after showing a good performance for the German Bundesliga side in the 2018/19 season, scoring 17 goals and 6 assist in 32 Bundesliga games played for Frankfurt. He also lead Frankfurt to Europa cup semi final but Frankfurt lost to Chelsea, he recorded 1 assist and 10 goals in 14 Europa League match played.
He had an impressive season before a move to the Los Blancos, but since getting to Spain things changed for him and he keep fading off and lost his confidence, Jovic played 26 matches for Real Madrid and scored 2 goals. This season he has played only 5 matches in all competitions and he has not recorded any goals.
Jovic was also not a part of Zinedine Zidane plan because he was seen as a replacement for Karim Benzema but he was not performing to expectations and he has not showed value for the amount used in signing him. Since he has make a return to his former team on loan with no buy option, there is possibility that his form is resurrected and come back to scoring form.
