Manchester City were the better team and beat Manchester United 3-1 in a thrilling England Carabao Cup semi final first Leg at the Old Trafford. Bernardo Silva, Riyad Mahrez and Manchester United own goal steered Manchester City to Victory. This is the second meeting between the Manchester teams, Manchester United has previously won Manchester City in the English Premier League 2-1 while Manchester City is taking revenge on the Carabao Cup.
Since Manchester City is slightly out of the English Premier League title race due to some low performance lately, this is their best chance to class a trophy this season and also winning the UEFA Champions League is not so sure for them. They need to strive hard for this cup. The second Leg will be played on the 29th of January at the Etihad Stadium and the aggregate is Manchester United 1-3 Manchester City.
