Martin Ødegaard who was signed in 2014 from Strømsgodset in Norway to Real Madrid has never for once made his place in the team, he has been loan to several team since joining the team. His recent loan was to Arsenal where he spent the half season with the Premier league team, his performance was good as he played 20 matches for Arseanl and with the improvement Real Madrid has hoped to retain him in the next season team so no loan deal for him.

According to reports, Real Madrid made this decision after which the French coach Zinedine Zidane who has refused to include him in his two times managerial career at the Los Blancos was fired. So there has been a talk about signing Allegri to be the new head coach ahead the next season. So there is no doubt Odegaard will be inclusive in the team so that he will fight for his place and make a regular starting XI.

Martin Ødegaard has just played 11 games at Real Madrid and contract runs until the summer of 2023. It was a great regret for Real Madrid that they made that blunder of sending him out on loan to Arsenal, and also could have been a better backup when they have their midfield injured.
