Real Madrid continue their challenge for the Laliga and they are currently in second place, but their main issue has been several injuries, so in the game against Granada today Real madrid will be without their defender in this clash. Ferland Mendy and Alvaro Odriozola have been announced out of today's important match against Granada which Real Madrid must win if they are to have any hopes of taking over their rivals Atlético Madrid in the first place.
The defenders are just two of a total of six defenders from the first team who are reported out of today's match. Daniel Carvajal, Lucas Vazquez, Raphaël Varane and the captain, Sergio Ramos, are all out.
According to reports, Real Madrid coach Zinedine Zidane could choose to put Federico Valverde down at right-back, as there are not many other alternatives when taking a look at the extremely long injury list. The midfielder has been a substitute on the right back earlier in the season.
Despite the amount of defensive injuries, Real Madrid have only conceded 26 goals in 35 league games this season which is the second fewest only behind Atlético Madrid's 22 goals.
