Group A:
Whilst Bayern have successfully secured both a place in the next round and top spot of the group, Ath Madrid and Salzburg have the 2nd position open for them to fight for with Madrid having an upper hand, and leaving Locomotiv Mosciw with only a place in the next round of the Europa League to fight for.
Group B:
Welcome to a group where the last can be the first, and the first can be the 3rd. All positions are very much open, but Mochengladbach and Shakhtar have the best chances of qualifying for the next round.
Group C:
All that is left to be fought for, between Marseille and Olympiacos, is the Europa League spot with both Man City(1st position) and Porto(2nd position) securing their places in the next round of the UEFA Champions League.
Group D:
Liverpool have successfully secured both first place and a position in the next round, whilst Midtyilland have automatically been eliminated from the competition. In between these 2 are Atalanta and Ajax who both have the 2nd position of the next round of the competition to fight for, however, the loser still has the consolidation price of qualifying into the next round of the Europa League.
Group E:
It is all done and dusted in this group. Chelsea claimed top spot having defeated Sevilla with the latter settling for 2nd position. Also Rennes defeat to Krasnodar made sure the latter secured a place in the Europa League.
Group F:
This group has the same fate has group D with Dortmund through to next round, Zenit, out of the competition, and Lazio and Club Brugge having the 2nd place position of the competition to fight, with a Europa League slot awaiting the loser.
Group G:
A final day showdown to decide who tops the table between Barcelona and Juventus(both already secured their place in the next round), and who qualifies for the next round of the Europa League between Ferencvaros and Kyiv is all that's left in this group.
Group H:
This group definitely met its expectation as being The "Group of Death". It's going to a final day showdown for the trio of Manchester united, Paris Saint-Germain, and PasenBallsport Leipzig leaving out Basaksehir who are now out of the tournament.
Of this trio, it's PSG who have the best chance of moving into the next round, but don't you forget, "It's the Champions League, and anything is possible"
