With both Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers gaining victory over Premier League counterparts, Aston Villa and Crystal Palace (Liverpool got a kind of revenge on Villa for their 7-2 defeat the last time they visited Villla Park. They blitzed past them by a whooping 4 goals to 1), we will be taking a look at the EPL teams who are playing today, and their possible match outcome.
1) EVERTON VS ROTHERHAM UNITED:
I believe this shouod be an easy win for Ancelotti's men as they face off against Rotherham United who play in the 2nd teir of the English Football League, Championship.
Everton's performance of lately strengthens the above point, so a defeat for Everton would be a bit of suorise for me.
2) BLACKPOOL VS WESTBROMWISH ALBION'
This shouldn't be a difficult game for West Brom as they face League 1 side, Blackpool, but both teams' overall performance this season will make the game a fair fight between them.
3) BRISTOL ROVERS VS SHEFFEILD UNITED:
Another game whose outcome may be very difficult to determine as League 1 Bristol Rovers welcome Sheffeild Utd.
Sheffeild Utd have been extremely poor this season, and this could make me give Bristol Ruvers the nod over them.
More so, Rovers have the advantage of playing at home which is also an important factor to consider.
4) BURNLEY VS MILTON KEYNES DONS:
Hmm, another tight one for me as both teams' general performance hasn't been encouraging this season.
Burnley should however take the day though, but I won't be suprised if Mk Don's, playing in League 1, gets the win as they have a way of getting wins over Premier League sides.
5) QUEEN'S PARK RANGERS VS FULHAM:
A London derby as Championship side QPR welcomes Fulham to the KPF Stadium.
Both sides haven't been in impressive forms this season, but Fulham's better head to head over QPR, including their 3 wins out of 4 of both sides last meeting here, will make me tip Fulham for the win.
6) STOKE CITY VS LEICESTER CITY:
Championship side Stoke City will host Leicester in a very tricky tje.
It will be very difficult to choose a side in this fixture considering how tough Stoke City are especially when playing at home, but I believe the Foxes should be a able to get a way through.
I definitely won't be suprised if this game goes either ways.
7) ARSENAL VS NEWCASTLE UNITED:
A tough one for the Gunners as they seek to continue their impressive of 3 wins in a roll.
It will be very difficult to choose a winner between Arsenal and Newcastle, but I believe Arteta and his boys should take the day.
8) MANCHESTER UNITED VS WATFORD:
The red devils host championship side Watford as they seek to get back to winning ways after their 11 matches unbeaten run was put to an end by City rivals, Manchester City.
I believe the red devils will get a win in this game as we look forward to seeing how they will reply to their defeat to City.
9) SOUTHAMPTON VS SHREWSBURY TOWN:
The Saints welcome League 1 outfit Shrewsbury Town in a easy tie.
They(Southampton) are in good form, and their recent victory over Liverpool will also be a huge boost for them going into this game. I believe they should get a win in today's game, but I am leaving room for suprises though.
