Brendan Rodgers has slammed Leicester City supporters after they booed their team at the climax of their 3-0 loss to Chelsea.

Leicester City were defeated at home. A defeat that did not seem to fall nicely in the minds of their supporters. However, on his part, the Leicester manager has insisted the fans can do better than that.

Journalists question Brendan Rodger's commitment

After the loss, a few journalists asked Brendan Rodgers if the loss had anything to do with him being linked with the Manchester United job.

On his part, Rodgers pointed out that Leicester City had been struck by series of injuries and these players were only just getting back to their stride.

Moving on, he maintained that the attitude of the fans were disappointing and uncalled for.

In other to buttress his point, the Leicester City manager pointed out that the team has been brilliant ever since his arrival. Reminding whoever cared to listen that Leicester city were FA Cup champions last season.

In a nutshell, Rodgers was confident that the Leicester team deserved to be shown more respect as opposed to getting booed.

Since the Leicester side proved victorious over Chelsea in last seasons FA Cup finals, the supporters may have hoped that their team would produce a better display that what they saw.
