In a recent statement, Ex-Manchester United midfielder Paul Scholes has shared his thoughts on the current players at Manchester United.

According to Scholes, in the current squad at Old Trafford, only French playmaker Paul Pogba can comfortably make it into the Liverpool setup.

The English legend did the assessment in other to drive a point to pundits. Manchester United are far from the team they used to be sometime in the past.

The Paul Pogba effect:

The 2021/2022 season has not been the best in terms of appearances for Paul Pogba. For most of the first period, the French midfielder was out of action no thanks to a serious hamstring injury.

Nonetheless, ever since his arrival in Feburary, Manchester United have not lost a game in any competition. His partnership with Bruno Fernandes has been a major force to reckon with.

Paul Scholes left impressed:

Even though he has not been present on the pitch quite often, on his return Paul Pogba still hangs up there among the top assist providers in the premier league.

So far, he has managed a goal and an assist ever since his recovery from the hamstring.
