Gabonese striker Pierre Emerick Aubameyang has been banned from training alongside the Arsenal squad.

On his part, Arsenal manager Mikel Arteta has revealed he would no longer use the striker in games for the Gunners. So far, it is looking like Aubameyang would be leaving the Emirates at the opening of the January transfer window.

Reports had previously had it that the Arsenal executives and staff members never really saw Aubameyang as one deserving of the Arsenal Captain armband.

However, he was giving the armband nonetheless. So far, his recent attitude have left his manager alongside many other staff members unimpressed.

Aubameyang utilized more than the allocated time to take care of his sick mother in the hospital.

The reason behind Mikel Arteta's annoyance

No doubt, the Arsenal manager is not pissed with the fact that Auba visited his sick mother. The reason behind the annoyance is that the Gabonese did not give prior information that he would be staying longer.

More to that, Arteta has reportedly not been pleased with Aubameyang's level of devotion in training. So when this opportunity presented itself, the annoyance of previous incidents were heaped on one event.

Summary

It is clearly not looking good for the Gabonese striker. Particularly bearing in mind that he is to represent his team at AFCON sooner.

Aubameyang would have been hoping he gets to his peak fitness levels. But that is proving to be far from the case.
