It was indeed a thing of great joy to see Liverpool youngster Harvey Elliot return to the pitch of play as the team came up against Wrexham.
Elliot has been out of action since September. This proved to be the case after he suffered a serious ankle injury against Leeds.

Immediately after the knock, Elliot was rushed to the hospital and medical personnel suggested he could be out for about 6 months.
Elliot against Wrexham:
On his return, Elliot was utilized as a right midfielder, however as the game went on, he was then moved to the front three were he had a great time feeling the pitch from an advanced role.
Although due to the work he has put in, Harvey Elliot returned from injury earlier than expected. However, the Liverpool side have giving him game time to make sure he gets back to fitness early.

On his return, he was not immediately taken to the first team. Medical personnel suggested he should remain with the under-23 side until he recovers fully.
Harvey Elliot was given about 60 mins of game time against Wrexham. 60 minutes of many more hopefully from now on.
Summary:
The knock to Harvey Elliot was indeed a damaging one to his ankle. So it is wise not to immediately rush him to the first team.
The process would eventually be to Elliot's benefit. Provided nothing unexpected happens.
