Insisting that the goal would have be ruled out and not stand. However VAR thought otherwise and the goal was given.
Further statements from Ragnick:
Although Ragnick expressed concerns over the officiating, he insisted that the game was Manchester United's to lose. As the old Stratford giants had lots of chances to bury the game.
Among the many chances was the one missed by Portuguese midfielder Bruno Fernandes. The Middleborough goalkeeper was clearly in no mans land. Yet, Fernandes found a way to miss.
Ragnick sympathises with Anthony Elanga:
Among those involved in the penalty shootout mas Manchester United teenager Anthony Elanga.
From his body language, the Elanga was crushed after seeing his penalty fail to be converted despite all his best efforts.
Summary:
With their exit from the FA Cup, Ralf Ragnick may have said goodbye to his most practical trophy he would have clinched.
He now has to make sure Manchester United make it to the top four in other to not permanently keep his name in the bad books of the fans.
